I believe that you are the expert on you, and I am committed to providing a safe and welcoming space to assist you in exploring and transforming your inner world. Counseling can be an incredibly useful tool to transform the painful emotions and unhelpful patterns we may find ourselves stuck in. If you choose to work together, we’ll work collaboratively to help you move through and overcome patterns of thinking, feeling, and being that feel “stuck.” I use Emotion-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy, and I also draw from Polyvagal Theory and mindfulness exercises. My goal is to help you connect to your internal experience, make sense of your personal narrative, and develop new positive emotional experiences. I aim to be a facilitator who will walk alongside you and assist you in cultivating an increased sense of safety, connection, and joy within yourself and within your relationships. I work with a wide range of ages from pre-teens to adults and offer both individual and relationship counseling. I currently accept self-pay, MaineCare, Anthem, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum, UBH, and Maine Community Health Options plans.
